Mrs-O.com is dedicated to following the fashion and style of First Lady Michelle Obama. The site hopes to be a central, ever-evolving resource to chronicle Mrs.O’s style, while providing fashion commentary and information. The site encourages visitors to contribute tips and respectful dialogue.

The blog was conceived and created by Mary Tomer, "Mrs. T", in September 2008, in partnership with Zag, a division of her former employer, Bartle Bogle Hegarty. In October 2009, a companion book to the blog, "Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy," was published by Center Street Books, an imprint of the Hachette Book Group. In August 2010, Mary Tomer gained majority ownership of Mrs-O.com.
